The world's population is multiplying day-by-day and development projects need to be built to accomplish the desires of new generations. Almost all development projects have unwanted environmental consequences. In this book the conceptual framework is more empirical and provides an in-depth analysis of environmental impacts. The analysed data is presented in the form maps, diagrams and tables to communicate the results. The book highlights wide array of topics such as concept of EIA, EIA methodologies, impacts of various case development projects, ex post impact evaluations and application of GIS in EIA. This book however presents in-depth details and analyse the available scientific data for assessing the development projects. Similarly, for ex post environmental impact assessment various interdisciplinary techniques have been used.
