The objective of this release is to add some useful material to throw more light on the work of such an essential band through the reading of all their lyrics, and also to give some idea of this kind of feeling and atmosphere that was evolving in those years in that part of the world called New York. The CD single features 6 rare recordings by pre-Velvet bands - Carol Lou Trio 'After Hours' (Reed), The Shades 'Leave Her For Me', The Shades 'So Blue', The All Night Workers 'Why Don't You Smile', The Primitives 'The Ostrich' (Reed, Sims, Vance, Phillips) & The Primitives 'Sneaky Pete' (Reed, Sims, Vance, Phillips).
