Strange New Flesh was Colosseum II's first album, recorded not long after they formed in 1975. Over the years it has been regarded as probably their finest recorded work. Musically, it presented a much heavier and more Rock-oriented style than the earlier Colosseum, although rather less overtly HM-slanted than their immediate predecessor, Tempest. This expanded 2 CD reissue is boosted by the previously-unheard studio outtakes 'Scorch', 'Rivers' & 'Interplanetary Slut', plus the mind-blowing John Peel sessions of 'Dark Side Of The Moog', 'Siren Song', 'The Awakening', 'Put It This Way', 'Intergalactic Strut', 'Lament' & 'The Inquisition'.
