Faberge Quintet & Ulrike Payer

Gran Sestetto: Glinka, Tchaikovsky & Lyapunov Faberge Quintet & Ulrike Payer

The piano sextets of Michail Glinka, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and Sergei M. Lyapunov, all of whom were excellent pianists, are the focus of the recording 'Gran Sestetto', performed by the fabergé-quintet and joined by pianist Ulrike Payer. Here, the piano not only rises above the palette of the strings but also takes on musical leadership in many passages and dominates in terms of its virtuosity.
