Wilbert Harrison
The highly influential early R&B and rock n' roll singer Wilbert Harrison had a Billboard No. 1 record in 1959 with one of Hall of Fame songwriters Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller's first collaborations, "Kansas City." Featured here is that classic single backed with Harrison's own "Let's Stick Together" from 1962, which later became a hit for British pop crooner Bryan Ferry in 1976 and was reworked as "Let's Work Together" which became a hit for Canned Heat in 1970. All selections newly re-mastered.
