Hart Billy & Wdr Big Band

The Broader Picture Hart Billy & Wdr Big Band

Drum maestro Billy Hart's original music from the 1970s-1990s is arranged for the first time for a big band. But not just any big band – Germany’s most renowned ensemble, the WDR Big Band Cologne. The arranger and instigator of the project is a former student of Hart’s – a Swiss trombonist, composer and arranger named Christophe Schweizer, who took a strong interest in Hart’s music after the drummer had such a profound impact on him as a teacher and a player.”
