Soulful Moods Of Gene Ammons Audiophile edition
Soulful Moods Of
Gene Ammons
Jazz ballads at their best, this is what the American tenor saxophonist Gene Ammons, son of jazz pianist Albert Ammons, stands for. "Soulfull Moods of Gene Ammons" is considered one of his strongest works and enchants, among other things, with a version of Jimmy Van Heusen's "But Beautiful". The recordings with Patti Brown on piano, George Duvivier on bass and Ed Shaughnessy on drums took place in 1962 in the "Van Gelder Studio" in New Jersey.
