Ace presents the recordings Willie Headen made for Dootsie Williams' Dootone and Dooto labels. A great mix of blues, boppers and Doo Wop which will please a wide range of buyers. The original album is very rare and much sought-after by collectors. Previously Headen had been the lead singer of the Honey Bears, on Leiber & Stoller's Spark label. We include seven previously un-issued performances, including three new songs. Willie Headen wrote 'I Woke Up Screaming', made famous by Bobby Bland. Willie's stunning version is featured here.
