"A Quiet Place: Day One" is a 2024 apocalyptic horror film that serves as a prequel to the original A Quiet Place series. Directed by Michael Sarnoski, the film is set during the early stages of the alien invasion and follows a new set of characters. The story centers on Sam (played by Lupita Nyong’o), a woman living with terminal cancer, who finds herself trapped in New York City as alien creatures with ultra-sensitive hearing descend upon the city.

Unlike the rural setting of the previous films, Day One explores the chaotic first day of the invasion in an urban environment, focusing on Sam's struggle for survival alongside a diverse group of characters, including Reuben (Alex Wolff) and Henri (Djimon Hounsou).
