Big Fat Gypsy Wedding Si

Ancient traditions meet modern extravagance in the phenomenally popular documentary series BIG FAT GYPSY WEDDINGS. Each episode provides fascinating insight into the notoriously secretive world of Irish Travellers and Roma Gypsies in Britain today. With many girls getting married soon after their 16th birthday, the series explores the many rituals, traditions and beliefs surrounding a 'gypsy wedding'; from the planning stages, to the big day and beyond. The headline-making series also focuses on other aspects of the lifestyle common to the minority group; exposing attitudes toward gender roles, education and the discrimination bred from culture-clashes with the 'settled' community.
