Goldberg Variations Glenn Gould
Goldberg Variations
Glenn Gould
Glenn Gould is one of the most renowned and innovative classical pianists of the last century. Specializing in interpreting the songs of Baroque master Bach, Gould has inspired a large, dedicated following and even a film (32 SHORT FILMS ABOUT GLENN GOULD.) This film documents Gould's infamous recordings of Bach's Goldberg Variations at two different times -- as his debut recording in 1951 and in 1981, just one year before his death. This film then is not simply a music video, but also lends insight into the life of an eccentric and brilliant musician.
