Adventure thriller based on the non-fiction book 'Crystal Clear'. Eric LeMarque (Josh Hartnett) begins snowboarding as a way of containing his thirst for adrenaline. Out on the slopes in the High Sierras, Eric decides to tackle a dangerous route and ends up lost on the mountain, now battling for survival and desperately trying to find a way out.

Eric has to strategise ways to live and defeat the cold without giving up hope. Meanwhile, his mother (Mira Sorvino) frantically attempts to bring her son home, unaware of the difficulties he is enduring. Does he have the ability to cope with the harsh enivironment he is exposed to, or will his mind unravel before him?
