Cimarron Strip - Shows 1 to 6 Cimarron Strip Series One

Six episodes from the 1960s American western series, following the adventures of Marshal Jim Crown (Stuart Whitman). In 'Journey to a Hanging', outlaw Ace Coffin (Henry Silva) commits a murder in the Cimarron jail and Crown must track him down and bring him to justice. He does this with the help of an unpredictable cowboy who is keen to offer his services as there is a 10,000 dollar bounty involved.

In 'The Legend of Jud Starr' Cimarron is terrorised by notorious outlaw Jud Starr (Darren McGavin) and his gang and Crown is faced with the task of trying to seek them out and restore law. In 'Broken Wing' the marshal has to deal with the rising anger of the people of Cimarron after the local preacher is shot by the drunken son of a cattle rancher. In 'The Battleground' Crown is sent to Cimarron Territory to keep law and order in the area following disputes between cattlemen and incoming settlers.

He must also deal with the return of his old friend, Bear (Telly Savalas), and his gang, when their behaviour becomes out of hand in Cimarron. In 'The Hunted' Crown has to contend with two gunmen who are hired by a rich rancher to shoot the Gauge brothers. Felix (Steve Ihnat) and Gene Gauge (David Carradine) have a large price on their heads as they are wanted killers, so when they hand themselves in to Crown and claim their crimes were committed in self-defence, they become targets.

When one of them is shot dead, the situation becomes even more complicated for Crown. In 'The Battle of Bloody Stones' trouble erupts in Cimarron after Wildcat Gallagher (Gene Evans)'s Wild West Show arrives in town and puts on a re-enactment of The Battle of Bloody Stones, which depicts Indians being massacred by cavalry. The show upsets the local Indian population and when the son of the Indian Chief Ghost Wolf (Henry Wilcoxon) is killed, Marshal Crown must intervene before more people get hurt.
