The US comedienne performs before a celebrity crowd as part of ITV's initial 'An Audience With' series in 1984. Rivers has enjoyed a long and successful career in the entertainment industry. She has appeared in a number of films, including 'The Muppets Take Manhattan' (1984), hosted her own talk show on US TV and won a Daytime Emmy Award for her work as a comedian.
She has a reputation as a controversial figure who isn't afraid to point out uncomfortable truths and who particularly delights in making fun of Hollywood and celebrities.
