Girl
Belgian drama co-written and directed by debut film-maker Lukas Dhont. Victor Polster stars as Lara, a 15-year-old transgender girl who dreams of becoming a professional ballet dancer while training at a prestigious academy. As she prepares to undergo gender reassignment surgery, Lara becomes increasingly impatient and frustrated with the lengthy process and the negative impact it is having on her dancing.
While also experiencing harassment and humiliation from her peers, Lara tries to fulfil her dreams of becoming a dancer and realise her true identity.
