Franz Ferdinand are without a doubt the winner of the whole english guitar band-hypes from the beginning of the millennium. They play their tours in arenas with justification as their monotonous snappy, danceable post-punknew- wave-mix works in particular when they play live. Since their debut album in 2004 the four Glaswegians care for their image as cool art rocker: The band around the singer Alex Kapranos is always dressed flawlessly and plays in a distinguished manner. Apart from that it rules what always applied to the Scots: Due to the loud singing along and jumping to hymns such as „Take Me Out“ or „This Fire“ you quickly forget about how your hair looks.
