Status Quo are one of the original rock bands whose music can be characterized by their distinctive brand of „boogie rock“. Schoolmates, Francis Rossi and Alan Lancaster, founded the group in 1962.After a number of lineup changes, the band became „The Status Quo“ in late 1967, finally settling on the shorter „Status Quo“ moniker in 1970. They have recorded over 60 chart hits in the UK, more than any other rock group in history of popular music, with 22 of the hits reaching „Top Ten“ status in the UK! They have sold close to 120 million records worldwide. Over the years, Status Quo have managed to retain their fan base in the UK, as well as all across the rest of Europe.
