Picpus & Cecile is Dead - Inspector Maigret

Picpus & Cecile is Dead - Inspector Maigret

Albert Préjean made a surprisingly slim and stylish Inspector Jules Maigret in "Picpus," his first of three outings as Georges Simenon's cerebral cop. Here, Maigret is faced with a diverse string of homicides with no seeming connection-beyond proximity to the same metro station. Juliette Faber, Jean Tissier co-star. Then, Maigret (Préjean) regarded the oddball regular complainant Cecile (Santa Relli) as a pest-until she becomes one of a series of murder victims. "Cecile Is Dead" co-stars Germaine Kerjean, Luce Fabiole. 185 min. Total. Standard; Soundtrack: French; Subtitles: English; theatrical trailers. In French with English subtitles.
