Black Country Communion (BCC)
Black Country Communion brings together the raw power of classic rock with the finesse of modern musicianship. Formed by an all-star lineup—vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), guitarist Joe Bonamassa, drummer Jason Bonham (son of Led Zeppelin’s John Bonham), and keyboardist Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater)—the band channels the spirit of 70s hard rock into a sound that’s both timeless and thunderous.
Their self-titled debut burst onto the scene in 2010, packed with heavy riffs, soulful vocals, and arena-sized energy. Follow-up albums Black Country Communion 2 and Afterglow built on that momentum, delivering epic songwriting and intricate arrangements that resonated with fans of Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and modern prog-rock alike. After a brief hiatus, the band roared back with BCCIV in 2017, proving that their chemistry and creative fire were as potent as ever.
Balancing blues roots with hard rock muscle, Black Country Communion has carved out a unique space in the rock landscape—melding vintage tones with modern production and musicianship. Every release feels like a masterclass in classic rock reborn for a new generation.
