When civilization fell down, Silas constructed a happy home with Lottie and the boy, Cody. Silas hunted stray dogs for meat, and roamed the ruined city. The cause of the disaster soon intruded on his stable life, however. Huge alien ships began planting eggs which grew into mysterious predatory beasts. Silas went from dog hunter, to beast hunter. Silas was a courageous hunter, but was a man with deep problems. The more life challenged him, the more his hidden nature emerged, and the worse was the damage to those around him.
