Fate can be your best friend, or your worst enemy. In my case, it has been both. When fate was kind, I found a woman to love with all my heart. When fate was cruel, she was torn from me soon after the birth of our daughter. Losing her turned my world upside down. For twelve years, I could barely function. I had no sense of purpose. Oh, but fate wasn't done with me yet. I'd made a promise to a dying friend in Afghanistan. I vowed to find the sister he'd never known. In searching for someone else, I found my heart again, but this time the fight for my life begins. And by my life, I mean my heart, the one that's been frozen in my chest for the past twelve years. It found a reason to beat again. But, fate wasn't quite as kind as I hoped. For me, life and love had never been simple. There was no reason for that to change now. This guitar-strumming man will have to turn on the charm for love to find its way and for me to truly live again.
