Being a fiercely awakened runner might seem impossible because of what we are facing. Think about it! How do we get up each morning enthusiastic about going after our dreams when we are facing a future we do not recognize, let alone understand? How do we remain fierce in our soul when despair and disappointment is the norm of the day? How do we stay fierce in our faith, when fear is what is lurking around us? How do we stay disciplined when our world has been turned upside down?Our fierceness is being threatened by a virus that has invaded our spaces, and we cannot afford to let its presence control how we decide to respond to its claws. At this moment, I see this virus as that lion waiting to take on its prey, but we are ready. We have our antennas tuned into what is going on and are purposefully and intentionally working our mental fortitude to stay the course, like the antelope. The world we live in is never fair. Life happens, but our response to what happens is what makes the difference. Let your vision be your fuel in this season. You may need to hit pause on some plans, but keep your fierce dream alive. Keep your fierce running shoes warm. Keep your fierce soul engaged by reading stories that will inspire you. Do not sit idle. Cry if you must, but keep on moving mentally and spiritually. Be fearful if you must, but use your fear positively by replacing it with actions that feed your faith. Whatever you need to do, be on alert like the antelope. Don't let the lion take you out because you gave up. You have what it takes to overcome. God put it in you
