Cedric 'Ric' Huntsworth was a rich, well known football player. He had women falling all over him wherever he went, and honestly that was his biggest problem. After receiving a gift he never wanted he decided he needed a beard. No, not facial hair. He needed a cover, a fake girlfriend who would keep the rest of the female population at bay. But then his beard went and fell in love, with someone else and he was left without his cover. A last minute trip across the pond and this former Manchester United footy had his new beard . . . he just has to convince her of his plan and damn if he didn't just fall in love with her. Nicole Martin never expected her life to turn out the way it did. Growing up in foster care she thought she was beyond lucky to fall in love with one man and have his children. Live a simple life with their little family was their plan, but when her husband is killed while serving in the military and his rich parents want custody of her children after they disowned their son for marrying her, she's left with very few options. With no money and a very low paying job she had no choice but to take Ric up on his offer. She wasn't ready to fall in love again, or so she thought . . . her heart had a different plan than her head though.
