A Quick Look at the Foundations of Our Faith Philip Van Heusen

Today's church is woefully lacking in an understanding of the very core of Christianity. van Heusen goes back to the true stories in the book of Genesis to lay a solid foundation for understanding the basics of why Christ had to die to pay for our sins. Once we understand the foundation, we will better understand why we need a Redeemer. We will understand what the meaning of Christ being our Perfect Sacrifice. We will understand the way of redemption. We will understand how God prepared His people to accept the coming of the Suffering Messiah. This book helps us understand the need of a blood sacrifice to cover our many sins. The only way sin can be covered is by a blood sacrifice. The only way sin can be forgiven is on the basis of a perfect, holy sacrifice. Jesus Christ as the God-man is the only One Who was qualified to make the sacrifice to forgive sins by the shedding of His perfect blood.
