This Is My Testimony Not Poetry is a journey of my true feelings when I'm in the moment. When I started writing this project I wanted to be vulnerable, and writing is my therapy. I have a past, and we all do, so I carried some emotional baggage from my past. For so long I carried that heavy emotional baggage, and I didn't deal with my feelings and I have depression. I have PTSD and it took me a small life time to admit to myself that my mental health affected some of my behavior. This testimony is a brief look into the mind of a man that is finally comfortable in his own skin. I felt down and out, depressed, low self esteem, and some people counted me out. I call this book my testimony because when I was depressed and feeling worthless, I got on my knees and I prayed and asked God to forgive me and then, I wrote my way out.
