An excerpt, a poem based on chapter ninety of Psalms // May The Wind Draw You Out // Little mist, / Confident in the wind / And shadow, // And affairs of Nimrod / Of the dry land, // See the days of timbers / And saws and lands free / For ships to sail into; // May the moon your witness / Draw curves of strange smiles / And lovely reminders of / What shall yet come to pass / To fill your belly of vapours; // May wind draw you out beyond / The ends of the earth / And your nose, // Little mist, / Remove your hands from Sheol, / And any darkness that dares to creep / Into your white cortex / Of thinking self. // Little mist, / Confident in the wind / And shadow- // Finally, finally.
