You're new in town. People are suspicious of religion. Odds are not in your favor, but you can reverse them. Your book can allay suspicion, position you as an influencer and provide a roadmap for people as you first engage them. You really NEED to write a book including who you are, your calling, the struggles you've overcome to get where you are, your mission and the strategy which defines it. With Amazon Kindle publishing you can do all of this for free. A much better option than paying someone $7K to print a bunch of copies for you to store under your bed. You write, Amazon publishes. No one pays a nickel until you purchase copies at your "Author's Discount" to give away or sell. And, while you're doing that others will find and buy it at retail prices from Amazon. Everybody has a business card. If you're smart you have a church website and Facebook page, but these can't give you the credibility of a book, printed on paper. Doing this is a no-brainer.
