The intelligence and depth of a method that is the only one of its kindMany have heard of koans but do not have the slightest idea what they are. Even teachers and practitioners of other schools of Buddhism, sometimes make embarrassing statements about koans. In this book I make an effort to give the reader an idea of the mental and emotional process that occurs when confronting koans: it is experiential theoretical information. The purpose here is to guide the reader toward understanding and "feeling" the effects, the intelligence and depth of a method that is the only one of its kind: the koan system. The koan system makes the clarity of the mind vibrate in the body and reveals the mind/body unity. The koan system makes experiential the fundamental points of the Dharma that pulsate in live just as it is. The only way to fully comprehend the "koan system", is to experience it.
