Sam Berg was your typical good ole boy from the foothills of North Carolina. Young Sam and his wife Jo lead a simple life filled with the daily chores all farmers are faced with. Every morning would find them feeding the livestock, cleaning the stalls in the barn and weeding their huge vegetable filled garden, which seemed to be a relentless battle yet a favorite of Jo's. They had no children and were waiting until their farm could become a self-sustaining modern-day homestead completely free of the burdens that living in a city demanded before they would entertain the idea of bringing a baby into the world. **************************************************Buff Cambridge was an upcoming hoodlum straight from the pages of a gangster novel. He was brash, self-centered and had a disdain for anything taking any physical effort to accomplish. He would strong arm the weak and became a ruthless intimidating man to those whom he thought he could force into submitting to his ideas and things he found important. Buff lived in Atlanta, had no wife but a lovely girlfriend who was rough around the edges but still had a heart filled with compassion and level-headedness. The old saying that 'opposites attract' fit their relationship to a T. His girlfriend, Diane was often the only person whom could talk him out of some of his bizarre ideas. She kept his feet planted on less shady ground, but at times even she was unable to make that happen. **************************************************Through an unforeseen occurrence Sam and Buff would soon cross paths and their lives become unwittingly paralleled as their worlds become diverged on opposite ends of life's spectrum Neither would understand how or why this would happen or if perhaps they were somehow swept up and into a realm of insanity neither could explain.
