I have retired from my work as an educationalist seven times in 13 years; I am finally a retired head of school in my 80s, thinking about my career and the meaning of that career including lessons learned along the way. I intend to use stories and plain straight talk about meaning to get across a point or two about the field of education, a field that is in serious trouble with the rapid advance of knowledge and discovery around its educators making new issues, opportunities, and problems every day.
