Elisabeth is a strong woman, but when she discovers she has cancer she becomes very fragile. Her inner journey starts here, bringing her to the places and emotions she experienced during her travels. Her inner journey lasts one year, during which all the emotions she has experienced in her life come to the surface. With her friend Hans acting as a mirror to her inner self, she re-experiences the people she's met and places she's lived that have left an imprint on her soul-Kenya, South Africa, the Netherlands and Italy. This journey transforms her, allowing her to understand that it is not so much the physical location that is important, but the support network around her, and the biggest trauma in her life becomes a source of positivity, a gift she willingly accepts as an opportunity for rebirth into a new life.
