One thing I myself have learned in life today me being much older at sixty-three and much more the wiser than when I was a young boy growing up in the early sixties and seventies along the Texas gulf coast. Likewise, with most of us we all grew up one day and suddenly it happens we look around and ask ourselves, where did the time go? It definitely happens as each of us age and that is the truest of facts, we learn in life that we all sooner or later we will get older. Some of us would just as sooner leave their own past behind and leave it all back there in the past. I woke up a few years ago from a dream I had dreamt and realized that kids today and even my own kids will never know what it was like growing up from an era that is long-gone on today. The good ole days and good standards of life are so much different today. Out with the old and in with the new is what is left. But, somebody like myself had to wake up one day and began to write it all out from memory and that is what I hope and pray that whomever reads my stories will smile, open up their older minds and hearts and go back for just one more moment in time and never forget where someone like you and I once upon a time had come from.
