Still grieving the death of my grandmother Minnie, the words in this volume were my attempt to capture memories of our family. Alongside those memories, I tried to solidify fleeting impressions of my daughter Angela who was leaving adolescence and racing toward adulthood before my very eyes. The ghosts of my past keep me company now, more than ever...they knock on windows and doors, begging to be let in to live and I know they will gain access one day soon. Until then, they remain memories and quiet companions.
