A Coaching Journey - 'It's in the "File Cabinet" Dick Lien

I started coaching in the 1960's that is a long time ago. I have lived in a lot of places,17 to be exact. I have done a lot of things and seen a lot of things in the basketball and sports world. I have loved every stop along the journey. I have had coaching and experiences at many levels: high school, junior college, NCAA Division 1 and 2 and internationally as a head club coach and National Team head coach. During a coaching career of nearly six decades, self-learning has always been JOB ONE. A "Spin-off" from the goal of developing players and winning games; I collected a large "File Cabinet" jammed with all things coaching. The collection includes information from every conceivable source: clinic notes, magazines, newspapers, scrapes of paper, billboards, marketing slogans, podcasts, video, speeches, collaborating with fellow coaches throughout the decades. The more I dug into this collection of information. It became apparent there were lots of great things in this over-stuffed "Cabinet" that would help coaches in all sports with their teams, their players and help win more games.
