An epic tale of one warrior's resistance to Caesar's invasion of Briton in 54BC, setting in motion events that are felt to this day. The Celt, Artyr, plans an ambush that will shatter the might of the Seventh and unite all of Briton in repulsing this trespass. But they are betrayed, the Roman Army rolls over the hapless Celts, just as they have done in mainland Europe; it seems nothing can hold this tide back. Artyr and his beautiful wife, Gwendyll, escape to the rocky hills of Siluria (modern- day Wales), there to lick their wounds and plot the downfall of Caesar. The magician Merle is on hand to weave his spells and bring the mystic Druids to their cause. Modern London and a beautiful girl hurries to an office party but is ambushed by the predatory Morden, serial rapist and manic depressive. She is rescued just in time by tall blonde Arthur, working on a nearby building site. He tends her wounds and attempts to glue her shattered self together with kindness and compassion, but the spectre of Morden continues to haunt her and it is not until they fall in love that the girl, Ginny, finds any peace. Married in the shade of a giant oak reputed to be thousands of years old, they set off on a new path but her nemesis is not done with her yet and hires a gang of thugs to find - and torment - the couple. A fearsome battle erupts in the just-completed nuptial home, Arthur and Ginny are in for the fight of their lives.
