In 2010 when a bubbly career-driven counsellor, Sosheina Whyte, met and entered into a relationship with a charming young man, she hoped that the relationship would lead to marriage as this would be the beginning of a beautiful marital union and the establishment of her own family. However, as she ventured on the road through courtship and into marriage, she encountered difficulties that threatened to destroy her mental wellness. She found herself trapped in a union that was plagued with emotional strife ranging from verbal abuse to infidelity. It was no longer a safe haven of trust or loyalty and love and respect were clearly served an eviction notice. Locked in this abusive marriage, Sosheina found herself with a choice to make - having vowed and forsaken all others.
