Every white girl wants a slave/bestie. All children believe they can move the clouds with their minds and most are encouraged to use their imagination in such ways, but some children are not treated the same way as others, and therefore are thought to be without magic. What a terrible lie the black children of the world have been told through the media, movies, and bad education. Stella, a biracial beauty is one such magical little girl-turned woman-who is a product of a world who stopped believing in her magic. Born into a world riddled with racism, Stella meets her bestie Maxine during college. Maxine, is a sweet little white girl with a fantastical mind and celebrated for her imaginative ways. Their friendship is going along fine until Stella asks herself a question to which she receives an answer she was not quite prepared to hear. She discovers who she is and that she too can make things happen with her mind. She begins to understand that her seemingly crazy intuition, dreams, and all the little signs in between are the keys to unlocking who she is and why she was chosen to tell the lost stories of her ancestral past.
