John's Letters Nolan Guenthur

Letters of John, abbreviation John, three New Testament writings, all composed sometime around 100 ce and traditionally attributed to St. John the Apostle, son of Zebedee and disciple of Jesus. The author of the first letter is not identified, but the writer of the second and third call himself "presbyter" (elder).
He writes with great affection, but that doesn't mean he is soft. In these letters John:
- Refutes enemies of Christ who are spreading false and dangerous doctrine.
- Challenges believers to reject darkness and live in the light.
- Assures believers of God's forgiveness and cleansing.
- Proclaims love as the core commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ. J
