In-Transit: The Story of a Journey Sadie Vernon

In-Transit: The Story of a Journey is the autobiography of Sadie Vernon, the Executive Director of the Belize Council of Churches for 35 years. "In this autobiography we see the heart of Ms. Sadie Vernon. We see what made her such a compassionate person. She always believed in people regardless of what anybody else thought of the person. She never gave up on anyone. She always believed that there is something that can be done to help reach and touch the person so as to make him or her have hope in a very difficult world." (Rev. Moises Chan, 2000, Pastor, St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Belize City, Belize)

"In her calm, persistent, and enthusiastic wan, Sadie Vernon has lived a spirit-filled life as an advocate for the voiceless and the power-less. Her calm serene smile was always thee to comfort a tired, stressed-out person. The deep sharing of her personal live says a lot about how much and how far Sadie is willing to give with whom she worked or came in touch" (Eva Middleton, Belize City)

Miss Sadie has been important to many lives in many parts of the world, but especially in Belize and in the United States. As she has counselled and inspired many, many people, it is our hope that by publication of her story she will continue to counsel and inspire.
