Sebastian Olesen

Hope for gangsters Sebastian Olesen 1. izdevums

In Sebastian’s well written book, you experience Vollsmose through his eyes, both the good and the bad. It is worth reading if you want to get a rare insight into Denmark’s largest ghetto.Nasib Farah, Freelance movie director and resident of Vollsmose.
Sebastian moved to Vollsmose based on the conviction that if you want to make a difference in the district, you have to live there. Many young people live a life offending the laws of the society, they fit neither into the Danish culture nor into the culture that their parents partly still represent. The book is about daring to open your heart and home, and forgive those that many other people prefer to avoid.Saliha Marie Fetteh, Professor at VUC Fyn
This book can change young people’s lives for the better. If you make a difference for just one person, you have done the right thing. I think that those who have read the book once will want to read it again.Aysel Hagi, Chairman of Røde Sol Kulturforening and Stop Spild Lokalt Vollsmose
I hope we get more people like Sebastian. Such people who want something for other people and dare to take chances in the process. This book is both funny and unique. A testimony of faith, love, and courage, and about looking people into the eyes who are different from us, but with whom we share the same longing.Mikael Wandt Laursen, General Secretary of the network for Danish free churches
