Nick and Anna work together at the local cinema during a hot summer. Anna is mysterious, beautiful, and belongs to a very different world than Nick. She is a Jehovah Witness. Which doesn't keep him from falling deeply in love with her.

Anna grew up preparing herself for the end of the world, but with Nick, her life fills with music and poetry. However, the fear of renouncing her loved ones and everything she believes in forces her to keep him away and accept a fate she is no longer sure she wants.

Years later, they meet again and discover that time hasn't changed their feelings for each other. But will they be able to be brave? Or will they finally have to forget the love they once let get away?
