Coffee export performance of Ethiopia is characterized by under performance, little attention to the important opportunities such immense biodiversity, and poor law enforcement. Ethiopian coffee export over the study period (34 years) has shown 6.28% annual growth in terms of the exported volume attaining 5,000 metric tons of growth in quantity every year. In a similar way it has shown 18.57 million USD annual increment with ratio of 12.62%. This wouldn't be undermined, a 12.62% annual growth over the last 34 years. However, the movement is very erratic in the range that shows the minimum -74% while the highest is 175.54% per annum depicting implied weakness in strategy development and implementation with slowing performance over the last five years (average value 2.93% and volume 3.90%). This study has identified the determinants of Ethiopian coffee export performance and forwarded relevant recommendation. Quantitative data analysis is performed using the Multiple Regression Model. Export can play a vital role in contributing to a nation's economic growth and wealth creation. They endeavor to perform well in this regard in order to satisfy the development needs of the community.
