I wrote this tender story about a diff erent little boy, because I think we are all different in all sorts of ways. Some of us are shy. Others cannot cry. Others are afraid of dogs. Some do not want to sleep. I, for example, can't stand cucumbers. But we all want the same thing: to be loved. David, the boy with a butterfly wing, is a brave, happy little person who has understood something very important about life: it is beautiful if you know how to embrace it with love.
