The aim of these conference proceedings is the application of recent scientific discussions on mobility and migration to stone monuments from Roman provinces. The contributions exemplify whether and how movement of people affected the design of funerary and votive monuments or architecture and what statements were intended thereby. The book starts with an introduction by the editor and integrates the 33 essays into the overarching thematic fields of dying abroad [16 papers], cults abroad [7] and objects, knowledge and craftsmanship abroad [10].
