There are countless methods for how to proceed in a design process. Any sort of 'perspective' or 'point of view' can create the basis for a design. The question is the relevance of this foundation. Ontology can be a relevant foundation of a design strategy. Further, architecture can be a tool of human selfunderstanding in the world. Understanding this connection can lead to a conscious construction of environment. The study of ontology in the context of architecture seeks to develop tools that help create this environment of self-awareness and awareness of an ontic-ontological reality.
