Novolac - Ceramic Composites As a Flame Retardant Paints Fawziea Hussien

This book is containing the preparation process of paint composed mainly from novolac and kaolin as flame retardant material to protect the easily burning surfaces like wood and wood products such as furniture, ceiling and wood building from reaching the ignition temperature when they exposure to the flame temperature about 925ºC , for periods of time, depending on the kaolin percent and paint layer thickness. It was also used to protect the non-combustion surfaces from reaching the softening point. The preparation process of the paint ,its application , and measured properties were Iraqi patented .
