Analytics of Some Medicinal and Latex Bearing Plants: Anticancer and Anti-arthritic Properties Using In-vitro Studies Ekta Prakash

From more than 50 years, the mortality rates for cancer did not significantly improve. Cancer synthetic chemoprevention involves chemical to prevent,inhibit or reverse carcinogenesis or prevent development of invasive cancer. However,several side effects are appeared by these chemotherapeutic drugs. Therefore we did several attempts as spotlight on cancer therapeutics 'back to nature' to avoid these effects by using natural anti-cancer compounds. Plant derived polyphenolic compound such as flavonoids,tannins etc possess a wide range of pharmacological properties and they are recognized as naturally occuring antioxidant and have been implicated as anti-viral and anti-tumor compounds. In this book, Euphorbiacaeous plants species and traditional herbs and spices were taken for investigations in management of cancer by carrying out in-vitro anti-cancer studies. Latex extract of plant was analyzed for anti-arthritic properties.
