This book gives comprehensive review of the literature regarding PPRV and provides fundamental diagnostic tools that can be employed for the efficient diagnosis and control of PPRV. In this regard, two diagnostic tools, agar gel immunodiffusion test and precipitinogen inhibition test, were compared and evaluated in parallel to immunocapture ELISA. All these techniques were comprehensively discussed and practical aspects specially emphasized. Furthermore, the governmental livestock farms were reported to be seropositive for PPRV and are analyzed in detail. This highlights the importance of PPRV and it is the need of the time to attract the attention of controlling authorities to this devastating disease. In short, this book will be helpful to all the scientists involved in the diagnostic application of serological tests for PPRV.
