Fuel cell devices, with their advantages of high efficiency and much less emission, are the most promising potential candidates to assist in solving the energy crisis and serious environmental pollution that we are facing. However, the high cost and existing technical barriers make it difficult for the commercialization of this technology. Electrocatalyst plays an essential role on fuel cells operation, especially for proton exchange membrane fuel cells. This unique book, therefore, presents the audiences the most recent achievement of our studies on the discovery of low cost, high efficient transitional metal modified binary electrocatalysts for low temperature fuel cells to alleviate the current situation of heavily relying on the rare noble metal platinum.
