Lawanda Stevens was born into a troubled situation. During her childhood, her mother and father had to make a life-altering decision. Who knew things would end up the way they did, leaving a lonely and frightened little girl to figure out this think called life. Her life was far from easy and she was constantly let down through her journey. At her lowest point she contemplated suicide, but all she could think about were her children growing up without a mother. The guilt and shame of her past caused her to recall the feelings of abandonment she knew all too well. Her prayer is that this story is encouraging to someone who is hurting. Be encouraged and know that one day the hurt, pain, and disappointment will be no more.
